Spacesaver Golfs for the Wisconsin Veterans Museum

What’s better than golfing? How about golfing with a purpose other than to improve your swing or to wear competing plaid patterns? On Monday, July 16th, Spacesaver will sponsor the Wisconsin Veterans Museum Annual Golf Outing at the Oaks Golf Course in Cottage Grove, Wisconsin. Spacesaver will have a selective few of their golf pros swinging clubs at this year’s event and, perhaps, lying about their golf score…
The annual golf event is a fundra
iser for the Wisconsin Veterans Museum. Celebrating its 8th year, the event will host a variety of activities including a putting contest, awards, dinner, prizes (including a Capital City Harley Davidson motorcycle- OMG!) and of course, golfing. Crazy golf attire is optional, but probably expected. It’s supposed to be a fun event, right? Why not dress the part as well?
Now, if you haven’t had an opportunity to visit the Wisconsin Veterans Museum in Madison, put it on your calendar! Dubbed as one of the most unique educational facilities in the state, the museum offers high quality exhibits and research opportunities to learn about Wisconsin’s military history. The mission of the museum is to increase awareness and appreciation of the sacrifices made by Wisconsin’s veterans to keep our nation free. It’s definitely a worthwhile investment of time. So why not schedule a trip soon?
AMAZING!
Did you know that during the previous school year, the Wisconsin Veterans Museum hosted nearly 20,000 school children from around the state, providing valuable learning resources and tours to enhance their knowledge of the role Wisconsin’s veterans played in our nation’s history?
Now for an additional shameless plug:
The Wisconsin Veterans Museum needs your support: financial and talent.
If you are interested in volunteering at the museum, there are many opportunities to do so. They include volunteering as a tour guide, oral history transcribers and several other positions. All volunteers will receive training and lots of appreciation.
While the proceeds from this event help to support the museum, financial investments are still needed. The Wisconsin Veterans Museum is a nonprofit organization and depends on the generosity of others to continue providing quality educational experiences in Wisconsin.
